Dissolve: okay so start ...... now.
Sara: ummm.
Dissolve: I'll even get you started.
Sara: I'm not funny.
Dissolve: Yo dissolve, where the F you been?
Sara: Yeah what's up with THAT?
Dissolve: Ugh, okay.
Dissolve: So first off, there's the college thing. That consumes much of my free time. Then there's the job thing. That kills alot too, but I am keeping on my regular track of updating... like once a year.
Dissolve: As approximately 10 of you may have noticed, I have been in the chat a lot lately, once again leaving my computer on in there.... so the better question is, where are all of you???
*long break*
Dissolve: *moves Sara's mouth with hand* So then you are coming back to editing the site?
Dissolve: Well, no, not exactly. I will try to keep more up to date then I have been, but currently my computer science degree takes first priority... sorry.
Sara: Haaa
Sara: Sorry.
Sara: I got distracted by my roommate
Sara: So then in a year when you are done with college?
Dissolve: well.... err... no
Dissolve: i will/won't be done in a year.
Sara: what?
Dissolve: well, I will be done college in a year, at least in this country.
Dissolve: I am planning to head to Japan for a year and doing some schooling there.
Dissolve: However, given the current rate of my updates, no one will notice
Sara: can i come?
Dissolve: I would be happy to have fellow gusterites (I never liked the term gusteroids) visit me.
Dissolve: but you have to pay your own airfare
Sara: score.
Dissolve: now ask me why all the pop-ups on the site.
Sara: why all the stupid pop ups on this site?
Dissolve: well... basically, Its free. I am always looking for a new host and if anyone really wants to host me I would be more then happy to update more often in that eventuality... maybe even twice a year.
Sara: I hope you find a host!
Dissolve: thanks, so do I... Maybe, I'll just pay freeservers.com for this to get rid of the ads

Sara: So then you are looking for help with the site?
Dissolve: Not particularly, but I am always willing to accept some help. Right now I think the thing i need is a new facelift, yeah, the 4 year old flash is looking a little... make that very stale.
Sara: how do we contact you?
Dissolve: *points to contact page link*.... the e-mail is almost never checked but the other methods work.
Sara: So what exactly lit the fire under your butt and got you to write a post?
Dissolve: Well, every year I work a festival in Newport RI.... past 3 years I have had the pleasure of working backstage with Dissolve Folds.
Sara: And?
Dissolve: Oh and I just found out the G-men will be playing it.
Sara: So you mean...
Dissolve: Yeah, I get to work a Guster show. Won't know the details until the last day, maybe selling merch, maybe working backstage, maybe helping strike the set... these things are all planned at the last minute.
Sara: That's awesome.
Dissolve: I considered starting a new thread on the guster.com bulletin boards, but Greg would delete it right away.
Sara: Why?
Dissolve: Because I would brag too much. In other words the post would consist of "I get to hang out with guster, and you don't".... hmm 50 times.
Sara: That's mean.
Dissolve: I'm excited.
Sara: So when is this show to take place?
Dissolve: June 25th I am told they will be in Newport RI.
Sara: But that date isn't even announced yet.
Dissolve: I know... I have my sources. *wink*
Sara: Can you get me in backstage?
Dissolve: Sorry but no. But there is a gate out the back that everyone hangs out at to get signatures. Feel free to say hi.
Sara: How will I recognize you?
Dissolve: Well, I will look something like this...

Whats new? (1/15/04)

Huh, where am I? Back at the helm hopefully. Back at school and maybe actually making the update I was planning on making...look I know it looks simple but for then it was a big thing for me learning something new. Hopefully I will actually learn how to make this site better and better while keeping a simple design. I hate high load times so when I started the site I said i would keep it simple. Well, there may be more to come soon, hopefully... but thats what I always say.

So what exactly is this dissolve kid up to now? Causing trouble no doubt.

Well, there is not much to update today. Guster is still on tour with oscar mayor (sorry). But I am happy to announce that Brian answered my e-mail. I thing i will need to go through different channels to get responces from the others. Hmmm perhaps I should explain.

You see, a few weeks back I thought (mainly since I had been asked to) that it would be a good idea to write biographies (thanks for the idea Jody) So anyhow, I wrote some random questions and sent them to the boys. after waiting a while I sent them again to a different e-mail address. I was planning on making a biography of some kind but I liked Brian's answers on some of the questions, so I have decided to just post what he wrote... Check It Out

One other thing, and I am writing this more as a note to help myself remember. I had said once that I was planning on adding some kind of analysis of songs and the lyrics... I need to get on that. Perhaps just a section of possible song meanings.

Whats new? (7/28/02)

   A NEW RECORD... 4 Months without an update, but it is finally here, however limited.

   Well, my computer is back in working order, so I hope t rebuild the site a little. It has been long in need of update. The new design, while I did enjoy it, is a little bit of a hassle. I will most likely be joining the site into one rather then the divided high-band and low-band .. since well, they are both lowband. I will most likely be removing the flash... I'm sorry (to some)... You're welcome (to others)

   I recieved an e-mail during this time from someone going by the name Gustereid. He firstly corrected me on my mislink of furthurnet.com (I corrected it in the section below) and also sent me something he spent a good deal of time on, the words to Pain. They are not perfect, but they are very good, I could not have done it without him. So those lyrics are posted. I have others to post, but they will come later. I am also looking for an mp3 of Joe Song, as it is apparently titled. Please, anyone who has one please e-mail me!

   Well, thats about it for now, I have added myself to the guster.net fan2fan profiles. (page 10) Kenta maintains a great site.

   As many of you may have heard Guster's new Album will take even longer to release.. UGH... trust me, this annoyed me as much as it did you, but hopefully it is for the better. (we had a good long debate about this on fan2fan)

Whats new? (3/24/02)

   1 month later...

   okay so I am a little behind in my updating, I started out with downloading bunch of old guster songs but I'll get to that in a sec. The main reason I have been away for a month is that I have had a lot to think about these last few weeks. Had to go to a wake, be their for a friend who lost a good friend. My heart gose out to her in her time of sadness. For anyone out there who is just thinking about it... suicide is not the way out... you are strong enouph, you are better.

   But thats a different story all together. Back to the guster love!

   The songs I was mentioning earlier are from back in the days when Gus still roameed the earth. All the way back in 1994. So I have some new Guster oldie lyrics coming soon. I still cannot figure out many of the lyrics to Pain. If anyone wants to take a crack at them you can get the live show through furthurnet.comgreat place for live shows but it is still in beta testing. So anyone who wants to try their hand at the guster lyrics figuring-out send them to me and you too could get your name and almost any website in the site and on the links section. You know you want it. Anyhow, check out the Other section for some new lyrics.

   oh and as an afterthought, the tour dates have been updated... YUM :)

Still working out some kinks I reworked the menu to the left. It's a bit bigger but looks a lot better and obviously I reworked the color scheme. I like it better now with the exception of the title bars. Those may be changed. Any suggestions?
Well like I said before the site is still coming I may change it quite a bit in the coming weeks but its staying like this for now.

Whats new? (2/23/02)

   Well if you have made it this far then you must already be able to see a minor change... like the fact that the site is getting an overhaul! I am starting to learn flash (this explain the very bad and crude flash menu to your left.. but wait let me not assume that you clicked that High-Bandwidth link when you entered. You may have clicked the low-bandwidth link, in which case you are seeing a very sad design (simply point and click... the only fram is at the bottom so you can switch to high band if you accidently entered low band as well as a home link). Anyway as you can see there are some changes and there will be more to come.
   But wait, theres more! Thats right I finally got to getting some more lyrics down and with the addition of these lyrics this makes my site possibly the best Guster lyrics collection on the net. Feel free to contradict me on this. I don't mind. Besides I'm not yet finished :)
   In actuall guster news the new album is near completion (but they still have a lot of artwork and naming and organizing and production etc. to do before we ever see it. Oh and apparently the guster webring has crashed or been dropped or fell off the edge of the planet. I never truely supported them anyway after the dropped me because I was haing site trouble and had no guster content for a little while. Well thats about it from here. Along those lyrics lines I split bare into the two fairly well seen versions. I have no doubt that now that I have opened this door I may be expanding to other versions of other songs and possibly even posting covers allong with the original lyrics to those.
   Thats all for now. Hopefully this is step in the right direction for the site. Dissolve out...
